(A) In accordance with standard law anyone under the age of 18 cannot participate in auctions as they legal binding contracts. |

(Q) I registered, why can't I log in?
|
|
After you registered, the email address that you gave CowHorseSale to contact you was sent a activation email. This email contains a link that you must follow to activate your account with us. This helps us insure the email address is active and whoever owns the address is aware that it was used to register an account at CowHorseSale.com
Some internet providers filter email and they may have sent your activation email to your "junk box" rather then your "inbox". Please check both boxes for your activation email. |

How to Bid

(Q) How can I place a bid?
|

(A) To place a bid on an item you must first login to your account.
Once logged in, a bidding box will be displayed at bottom of all auction item display pages. You can use this box to place you chosen bid .
Our system allows for the use of "Proxy" bids. You can enter the max you are willing to bid on an item and our system will place the lowest bid allowed. The rest of your proxy bid is kept in reserve and if you are out bid by another bidder the system will go to your reserve and place the next acceptable bid for you.
The auction system will continue to place bids on your behalf untill your proxy bid has all been used. With this system you may place the max amount you are willing to spend on an item and not be forced into checking the item page to bid. If you are out bid at anytime the system will send an email to the email address that you have on file to let you know that you were outbid.
Proxy bids are prefectly safe and are not available to any other bidders view. You may check the status of any proxy bid and auction in the members area located on the left side of the page. Simply click on the "bidding" icon and your bidding data will be made available to you.
You are free however to bid the min bid amount on any auction. If you are out bid our system will email you to let you know. |

(A) You can keep an eye on everything you are bidding on by visiting your members area and selecting the "bidding" page. |

(Q) How do I know if I am outbid on an item?

(A) Our auction system will automatically notify you via email if you are outbid. |

Selling
|

(Q) How can I list an item?
|
|
(A) You must first be a registered member. Once you have registered simply login to your account and click on the "Sell" link. The first thing to do is select a general category for your item, note that you can choose a more specific category further into the listing process. You can then enter in your chosen settings and item description. You can visit our Video Center for more info. |

(Q) How can I keep track of items I'm selling?

(A) You can keep an eye on everything you are selling by visiting your members area and selecting the "selling" page. The "selling" page icon is always located on the left side of the page in the member's area. |

(Q) Can I use HTML when listing an item?
|
|
(A) Yes you can, however we recomend you use basic tags as complex HTML descriptions may not display correctly. |
